Benjamin Urrutia was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 1950. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1981 and has lived in Utah, California and New York. He currently resides in Chicago, IL.

 

He is the author of four published books including Slanted Glory, The Logia of Yeshua, LDSF-2 and LDSF-3 and hundreds of stories, articles, reviews and poems and even a couple of cartoons. 

 

Urrutia's main historical focus is to present Jesus as the creator of non-violent resistence as demonstrated in the events that occurred in Caesarea, Maritima in 26 C.E. when a major action of civil disobedience took place as led by an unnamed individual who Urrutia theorizes was Jesus. 

 

He loves cats and animals in general. He writes for a magazine called The Peaceable Table
